Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled and passionate Fee Earner with experience in general litigation to join our esteemed inquest and public law team. As a key member of our team, you will have the opportunity to support senior fee earners, attend client meetings and hearings, and independently manage your own caseload. You will play a vital role in assisting with funding and legal aid matters, as well as the preparation and investigatory steps of coronial inquiries. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to advise and assist clients with Human Rights and Personal Injury claims, contributing to our mission of delivering justice and accountability.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support senior fee earners in all aspects of casework, including legal research, drafting legal documents, and attending hearings.
  • Attend client meetings and hearings, providing expert advice and guidance on legal matters related to personal injury and inquest proceedings.
  • Independently manage a caseload of personal injury and inquest cases, ensuring that all client matters are handled with diligence, professionalism, and compassion.
  • Assist with funding and legal aid applications, advocating for clients' rights to access justice and compensation.
  • Conduct thorough investigations and prepare necessary documentation for coronial inquiries, ensuring that all relevant evidence is presented accurately and effectively.
  • Provide legal advice and representation to clients on Human Rights and Personal Injury claims, advocating for their rights and interests with integrity and dedication.

 

Requirements:

  • Qualified Solicitor with a minimum of 3 years PQE or equivalent experience in general litigation.
  • Proven track record of handling personal injury and inquest cases, with a strong understanding of relevant legal principles and procedures.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients and stakeholders from diverse backgrounds.
  • Strong organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Commitment to upholding the highest standards of professionalism, ethics, and client care.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team-oriented environment.
